ABOUT ONE STATE, ONE FILM
JOIN us for our next event
Join members of the Connecticut Collaborative on Poverty, Criminal Justice & Race, along with leading advocates in the fight for criminal justice reform in our State, to explore ways each one of us can support and promote a more equitable future for all. We will examine our respective roles in maintaining the status quo, examine ways to ensure accountability and hear from individuals who continue to advance the agenda forward.
One State One Film is a film series dedicated to exploring the intersection of race with different aspects of American life. Sponsored by the CT Collaborative on Poverty, Criminal Justice and Race, the films will cover the criminal justice system, voting access and other topics where racism most acutely impacts people of color. Panel discussions will help participants learn what they can do to combat racial injustice.
Participants in One State, One Film will view the films selected as part of the series on their own. There will then be a virtual panel discussion with experts who have worked to address these issues of racial justice. Participants will join the conversation to learn what they can do to make positive, tangible change in their communities.
